A specialist in Periodontology maintains a part-time private practice limited to Periodontology and implant surgery with emphasis on regeneration, minimally invasive surgery and microsurgery. The focus of his recent research activities has been twofold: regeneration and bio-engineering of lost periodontal structures and incorporation of dental implants in the management of periodontal patients. He has been widely recognized for his contributions to improved periodontal diagnosis and risk assessment, control of periodontitis, the practice of periodontal regeneration and design and execution of large clinical trials in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.
